As the demand for health care service managers continues to increase, Excelsior College plans to help cater to the demand by adding a Health Care Management concentration to its online MBA program. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for the career focus will increase 16% by 2018.
Excelsior College’s Health Care Management concentration is a collaboration of its School of Health and Sciences and its School of Business and Technology, which will include 27 graduate level credits and is for students who have already achieved a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or health services program. The concentration includes courses in Communication Strategy for the Health Care Leader; Strategic Management of Health Care Organizations; and Health Care Policy, Politics and Power.
