With the school’s virtual-classroom environment, you will be able to interact with your instructors as well as with fellow students. The university strives to develop an academic community that supports every student in the pursuit of knowledge and personal development.
Benedictine University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Benedictine University’s business programs do not have specialized accreditation.
Benedictine University’s online MBA program offers two modes of study: the traditional one course at a time plan, which busy working professionals can easily fit into their schedules, or an accelerated option with two classes concurrently. Students with an educational background in business may be able to waive up to four foundation courses, and in some cases, the GMAT requirement may be waived as well.
Students may choose concentrations from the following MBA programs:
- Entrepreneurship and Managing Innovation
- International Business
- Health Care Administration
- Internet Marketing
- Marketing Management
The entire MBA program is made up of 64 credit hours (16 courses). If you want to add a concentration you will need to enroll in 12 additional credit hours (three courses). How you choose to complete these classes is up to you. You can go the traditional route, where you take one courses at a time, or if your schedule allows it, you can take two concurrently and finish your entire program in one year.
Applications are reviewed throughout the year on a rolling basis. The MBA program offers six sessions each year. To check the session date, visit the school’s website. Students need to have earned an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university, graduating with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. If you graduated with a GPA of 2.5 to 2.9, you can still be considered for conditional admission based on other aspects of your previous education and experiences. Students will not need to have had an undergraduate major in business, but will have to complete foundation courses. In certain circumstances some foundation courses may be waived. Benedictine University’s online MBA program does not require a thesis.

Although the total cost of each program will be determined by transfer credit, the rate for all MBA courses is currently $590 per credit hour. The base program cost, excluding fees and course materials, is $37,760 for the minimum 64 credit hours required to complete the degree.
