Introduction

Operating today as the largest Franciscan University in the country, Cardinal Stritch University is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This private Roman Catholic school was originally formed as a college that would train nuns in 1937. By 1946, the school became a four year college and earned university status in 1997. Since then, it has expanded to include multiple campuses in Wisconsin and Minnesota, as well as offering students the ability to earn degrees online.

Though the university is rooted in Catholicism, they accept students from all affiliations and walks of life. The school’s vision to provide students with academic success merged with intellectual, spiritual, and social growth.

Accreditation

Cardinal Stritch University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association. The business school has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Academics

Students who choose an online MBA through Cardinal Stritch University will be obtaining a business degree that combines academic quality and service with the convenience of earning the degree from anywhere in the world. The mix of qualitative and quantitative courses will prepare all students to be critical thinkers and effective leaders. These skills will be able to translate into new careers or advance students within their current organizations. Students will learn to work alone and in groups, manage a team, explain their rationale, and apply ethical thinking to all decisions that they make.

During the 36 credit hour online program, students will demonstrate their knowledge in management science, marketing, finance, and accounting. Along with these analytical classes, students will gain an understanding for organizational behavior, legal and ethical issues, and global business policy. At the end of the program, students will participate in a capstone class. This class will focus on global business policy and strategy. Students will be able to apply their knowledge to solve real world global problems and show their understanding of all course work. This class will allow students to demonstrate their professional and academic accomplishments. All students will be held to high academic standards through the program. In order to stay in the program and graduate, students will need to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, finish all courses within a seven year time period, and have faculty recommendation for graduation.
