Chadron State College, founded 1911, is a small public college that has 3,000 students currently enrolled. The university boasts being the only four year and graduate degree granting college in western Nebraska.

Through the online MBA program, students will prepare themselves for a career as a supervisory or mid level manager. The program places emphasis on knowledge in business management, finance, marketing, economic, accounting, and informational management systems.


Chadron State College is recognized by both the Higher Learning Commission and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Along with these recognitions, CSC has been named one of 12 founding schools that will participate in a national project called Foundations of Excellence in the First College Year.


The Chadron State College Online MBA program allows students the opportunity to take classes at their own pace. Each class is designed to take 8 weeks and students can take two per semester.

The program is designed to take students three years. Through the core classes, students will focus their attention on learning the foundations that will make them successful in the business world. Students will take classes in accounting, leadership, strategy, organizational behavior, marketing, finance, and even legal environments. After completion of the first 27 course hours, students will have an option in how they conclude their program. They can take more classes in various topics, complete an internship, compile a scholarly project, or even submit a thesis. Students will work with their advisors to know which option is best for them.


The requirements for applying to the Chadron State College online MBA program include:
• Completion of the graduate school application
• Bachelor degree from an accredited university with a minimum GPA of 2.75
• Undergraduate transcripts
• Transcripts from any institution after completion of bachelor’s degree
• Completion of the Peregrine Pre- rogram Assessment Exam
• The exam costs $32.00 and takes about 2 hours to complete. If students pass the test then they are eligible to proceed with the original degree program. If however, a student does not receive a satisfactory score then they must complete a Masters Academic Leveling course before the end of their first semester.

Tuition and Financial Aid

A base level online MBA from Chadron State College currently costs $9,450 based on a 36 credit hour requirement. Students can expect to pay $262.50 per credit hour, which includes fees. The school participates in all the standard financial aid programs for graduate students.
