City University of Seattle was originally established in 1973 as City College. The goal at the time was to have a school that would provide higher education for working adults. It is currently one of the Northwest’s largest private nonprofit universities.

The university understands that everyone learns in different environments and that a continued education will mean something different to each individual that enrolls in school. The university offers students flexible and self-directed programs that will fit into each individual’s life. Currently, students can study in Seattle, online, or any over nine different countries.


City University of Seattle is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. The business school is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).


By obtaining an online MBA students will lay the foundation work for becoming capable leaders. By building their confidence about the business world and learning how to think strategically, students will be able to move toward their goals.
