Founded in 1956 by the Sisters of St. Joseph as a Catholic school, the College of St. Joseph in Vermont provides over 30 programs to the surrounding community. Having earned a reputation for being a student-centered and a family-like environment, St. Joseph produces alumni who historically become leaders in their work place. In keeping with the close-knit environment on the campus, the College of St. Joseph only enrolls about 425 students annually and maintains a student-faculty ratio of 9:1.
U.S. News & World Report ranked the College of St. Joseph as Regional Universities, Tier 2 in the 2012 edition of Best Colleges. In keeping with the mission to educate men and women of various faiths and backgrounds and prepare them for lives of continuing personal and professional growth, service to the community, and intellectual development, St. Joseph provides degrees at the associate, bachelor, and graduate level and has created a hybrid version of their MBA program to make it easier for working professionals to obtain their Master of Business Administration.
The College of St. Joseph in Vermont is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges through the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education to award degrees at the associate, bachelor, and undergraduate levels.
Delivered over the course of 26 months, the hybrid MBA program offered by the College of St. Joseph in Vermont was created with the working professionals in mind. Combining online course work and minimal classroom attendance, both time and commuting costs are saved. Students will meet in person with their instructors and peers on a regular basis but not every week. Furthermore, the program is designed to be completed at an accelerated rate.
The program emphasizes leadership development and promotes the development of strategic decision making skills specifically as it relates to organizational performance. Provided an applicant has earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and can produce proof of ability to complete master’s degree to completion, they may apply for admission to the MBA program at the College of St. Joseph in Vermont. Admission is granted after the Graduate Admissions Committee has evaluated the academic history and potential of the individual. Tuition and Financial Aid
The MBA program costs $450 per credit hour and the entire program consists of 42 credit hours for completion. Thus, the base cost of the program is approximately $18,900. Because the cost of tuition can be a heavy burden for many students to carry, the College of St. Joseph encourages every student to seek financial aid through the resources available.
For every student, the financial aid process begins with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which determines eligibility based on Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and the total cost of tuition. At the College of St. Joseph, 100% of full-time Undergraduate students receive financial aid. Graduates and their parents typically receive financial assistance in the form of Federal loans, which although they do not reduce the cost of tuition, break up the overall cost into more manageable amounts.
To help students as they progress through the academic programs at the College of St. Joseph, resources are available online and on-campus. This includes access to information about on-campus activities, residence halls, clubs and organizations, a variety of career services and resources, information about campus ministry, and downloadable forms for admissions and financial aid. The College of St. Joseph Learning Center gives full-time students assistance with assignments, information about a course’s subject material, provides academic skill classes, tutoring, and distraction-free study areas.
