Introduction

Dallas Baptist University was founded in 1898 as the Decatur Baptist College. It was the first two year college in the state of Texas. In 1965, the school was invited to move to Dallas by the Dallas Baptist Association. It was renamed Dallas Baptist University in 1985. Today, the school operates as a Christian liberal arts university and currently operates in four different locations and online.

Dallas Baptist operates to provide students with a Christ-centered higher education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. By integrating faith into their class work, students will be able to become servant leaders and learn their respective callings.

Accreditation

Dallas Baptist University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The business school has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

These degrees will require that students take more than the 36 hours required of the MBA. After students finish their core classes, they can choose a specialization. These specializations will give students a competitive edge in the workplace. Online students can earn their specializations in finance, healthcare management, international business, management, management information systems, marketing, and project management.
