In 1965, Daniel Webster College was established as the New England Aeronautical Institute, which was later acquired by IIT Educational Services, Inc. Since the transition, the school has expanded its scope from being a respected aviation institute to become a higher learning institution.

Daniel Webster College believes that their online MBA program provides students with the tools needed to problem solve efficiently and take their practical application into the real world immediately. Currently, the college offers two MBA programs. Students can earn an online MBA in either management or aviation.


Daniel Webster College has met all requirements of accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The business school has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The flight program has also been the Aviation Accreditation Board International and approved by the Federal Aviation Administration.


At Daniel Webster College, they believe that the design of the program is important to providing industries with individuals that are versatile, technologically literate, and can be team players. In order to do this, the programs have been created to provide traditional management theory and provide focus on issues that are affecting leaders in today’s economic world.

Through Daniel Webster College’s online MBA degree in management program, students will develop critical thinking skills, sharpen intellectual flexibility, learn to analyze problems and apply research skills to solve problems, explore creativity, and act in an ethical and professional manner. The program will focus on preparing students for all levels of management. Students will be effective leaders with great communication skills and will be able to reach effective decisions based on the data that they are provided. Through the nine core classes, students will discover organizational behavior and project management. They will also focus on the financial management foundations that are needed in business. An emphasis will also be placed on global issues so that students will be able to adapt in the world around them. Upon completion of their core classes, students will take classes in a chosen concentration. The concentrations are: general management, finance, marketing, human resources, international business, and operations management.

Though the online MBA for aviation professionals, students will gain the knowledge needed in the business world, but also gain specific aviation knowledge that will help advance their career. In addition to the basic understandings of business, students will study classical and contemporary aviation case studies to gain expertise on aviation–specific topics. Students will take seven core business classes that concentrate on operations and strategic management, finance and accounting and organizational behavior and ethics. After they complete those five classes, students will then move on to five classes pertaining to aviation. In their aviation classes, students will gain knowledge in air transportation, aviation safety, global aviation management and law, aviation project management.


The requirements for applying to Daniel Webster College’s online MBA program include:

• Undergraduate transcripts
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited University
• Letter of Intent regarding admission into the program
• Satisfactory performance in at least one area:
• Undergraduate GPA of 3.0
• Pass individual review with the Dean.

School Resources

DWC offers students lots of resources to make sure that they are successful on all projects throughout their academic career. Students can access the student library through the internet and receive writing tutoring on any paper that is written. The online writing lab will give students feedback throughout the different stages in crafting assignments. They can also help with proof reading and formatting. SOAR is a program at Daniel Webster College that will allow students access to an online records information system. Here, students can access their grades, financial aid information, account information, course materials that they may need.
