Introduction

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University was established in 1926 and has since become one of the best aviation and aerospace universities in the world. The school was founded 22 years after the Wright brothers took their first flight. At Embry-Riddle students will enter a curriculum that will teach students about the operation, engineering, research, manufacturing, marketing, and management of modern aircrafts.

Students will be able to earn an online MBA in aviation. Through this program, students will prepare for the business world while researching the needs of aviation, aerospace, and all related industries. The online program allows students in the United States, Europe, Canada, and the Middle East to gain the higher education that is required to stay current in their field. Many of the students that are currently enrolled in the online program are members of the United States Air Force.

Accreditation

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s campuses and online programs have been accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The Master of Business Administration program has been accredited by The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). All flight programs have been approved by the FAA.

Academics

The Embry-Riddle online MBA prorgram will prepare students for a competitive field. There is a growing need for people that can make decisions and be leaders in aviation. Since there is this push, there is an increasing need for those in the field to receive an education and competitive edge that will set them apart. With a master’s from Embry-Riddle, students will face a program that has been designed with this need in mind. Students will study modern management methods and recent developments in the aviation industry.

Once students decide to further their aviation career through Embry-Riddle, they will enter into a 36 credit hour program that they can take at their own pace. Students will first take eight core business and aviation classes. These classes will focus students on the day to day practices of business and place special emphasis on how aviation business is handled. Courses will cover management in marketing, research methods, finance and economics, and international business. Upon competition of seven of the core classes, students will participate in a capstone class that will focus on the material that they learned to that point. After successful completion of the core classes, students will choose three aviation business classes to finish their degree. These classes will further each student’s knowledge in aviation and business practices.
