George Mason University’s Online Global Executive MBA provides a foundational education for graduates that prepares them to meet those needs. Relevant and rigorous coursework, combined with complete flexibility, and seasoned with real-world experience creates a solid business foundation that will challenge students to attain new heights, both in the classroom and in the workplace. The program utilizes world class technology, delivers global perspective, and promotes the opportunity for leadership growth within an executive scope. Students will challenge each other through online chats and forum discussions with one another and with the faculty.
Working adults can take classes during the day or night, depending on what their schedule requirements dictate. Given the online, innovative format of the program, students can complete the entire EMBA program in less than 2 years if they so desire. Each course is taught in seven-week modules and totals 48 credit hours. Students can choose from three different start dates: January, May, and September.
George Mason University’s admission is highly competitive and is determined based on various evaluation factors. Applicant comparison is determined by their fit with the program, their potential contribution to the learning environment, leadership potential, recommendation letters, relevant work experience, and competitive GMAT or GRE scores.
Eligibility requirements are as follows: applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, they must have seven years of full-time work experience (including a significant amount of management level work), and they must have their employer’s support to participate and attend all classes.
Provided the applicant is eligible, they will need to follow these admissions requirements:
• Online application and $65 application fee
• A current resume
• Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended
• Official GMAT or GRE score, if the applicant does not already hold a master’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution
• The admissions committee will consider requests for a GMAT waiver on a case–by–case basis
• Two professional letters of recommendation from current or former supervisors
• A personal career goals statement
• An interview with an associate from the School of Management
Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition for the Global EMBA program includes the cost of all course offerings, study materials, and textbooks, which comes to approximately $56,700. For those who are eligible to receive financial aid or assistance, the office of student financial aid works with them to figure out the best possible means of covering the cost of tuition. Federally funded programs and grants are available to certain students in the United States as well as specific scholarships.
