Introduction

Indiana Wesleyan University is a comprehensive evangelical Christian university located in Marion, Indiana. It has a focus on the liberal arts and professional education and has been named by U.S. News & World Report as among the best master’s universities in the Midwest. The MBA program is available both on campus and online and is designed to prepare business leaders who are both economic and ethical professionals.

Accreditation

Indiana Wesleyan University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The HLC is a part of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCACS), which is one of the six regional accreditation organizations in the United States. The online MBA program is also accredited under HLC/NCACS.

Academics

Students are required to complete 11 core courses and four additional courses in a specialization of their choice. The specializations available include online MBA programs in applied management, accounting, health care, and human resources management. Required courses include business, analysis, and technology; applied management concepts; essentials of accounting; applied marketing management; managerial economics; essentials of finance; applied managerial finance; organizational development and change; applied business statistics; and applied economics.

The Indiana Wesleyan University online MBA program is set up so graduates can develop and execute business plans, assess management, organize daily business activities in a company, and use resources in an effective and ethical manner.

Admission

Requirements for admission to the Indiana Wesleyan Online MBA program are as follows:

  • Transcripts proving bachelor’s or master’s degrees from an accredited institution
  • Undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • At least two years applicable full-time work experience

There are additional acceptance requirements for students specializing in accounting and those who wish to enter the MBA Express program.

Tuition and Financial Aid

The total cost of the online MBA program will be determined prior to enrollment, but it will be based on a minimum credit requirement of 42 hours at $520 per credit hour for the core program. Additional costs will include books and tuition for prerequisites or other required courses outside of the core curriculum. Financial aid is available to all students who submit a FASFA. Employer reimbursement is also accepted.
