Introduction

Jacksonville State University was founded in 1883 as the Alabama State Normal School. It changed its name in 1957 to Jacksonville State College and then, finally, to Jacksonville State University in 1966 when it gained university status. Jacksonville State offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, including an MBA degree available completely online.
