Introduction

Kennesaw State University, located 20 miles north of Atlanta, was founded in 1963 and has an enrollment of more than 22,500 undergraduate and graduate students from 142 countries. The university offers 70 bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degree programs, including an MBA that is available completely online. Online MBA students are free to develop a program tailored to their career goals and can participate on their own time from any location. The Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State was ranked as one of the top 10 emerging business schools by CEO Magazine.

Accreditation

Kennesaw State University has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges since 1968. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is one of the six regional accrediting bodies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Kennesaw’s Coles College of Business is also accredited by the AACSB-International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), the world’s top business school accreditation group.

Academics

The Web MBA program of the Coles Business School of Kennesaw State University is designed to deliver students a similar education as that received by on-campus MBA students. There are no specific concentrations within the MBA program, but all students will be exposed to a thorough foundation in business theory combined with techniques for practical application of management skills in a globally driven business world. All instructors of the online program have graduate faculty status and are committed to delivering high-quality classroom experiences.

Student Life

Students in the MBA program at Kennesaw State participate in a virtual team-based learning program. All students must attend an initial two-day orientation on a university campus, but after that all lectures and course work take place online. Students have the ability to study on their own time anywhere that works best for their lifestyles. The length of the program is also flexible, and students can finish in less than 18 months or take up to six years to complete their degrees.

Admission

To apply to the MBA program at Kennesaw, all students must submit a professional resume, official copies of transcripts from all undergraduate universities attended and their GMAT scores. College Navigator reports an admissions rate of 64 percent for undergraduate students, which may reflect the selectivity of the university as a whole.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition for the MBA program at Kennesaw State is $19,450 for the entire program, or $645 per credit hour billed at $3,870 per term. There is also an orientation fee of $600. All students are encouraged to send in a FAFSA to qualify for federal aid in the form of grants and loans. According to College Navigator, 52 percent of all undergraduate students receive some form of aid.
