Introduction

Located in Buffalo, New York, Medaille College operates as a private liberal arts college. When it was originally founded in 1875, the intent was to train teachers, now the college offer students over 15 undergraduate and 7 graduate programs. With three campus locations in New York and an online school, Medaille College is the fifth-largest private school in New York. The school models itself in accordance with the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) and has been ranked as one of the best colleges in the nation for veterans by Military Times EDGE Magazine. Currently, the school enrolls 2,700 students and employs 90 full-time faculty members and 200 part-time faculty members.

Academics

The mission of the Masters of Business Administration accelerated program is to teach students in the classroom the skills that they will need in the boardroom. While managing their busy schedules, students are able to decide if they wish to take their classes online or at the campus. The focus of the program will be to enhance and develop the management and analytical skills of each student. Students will learn how to solve strategic management problems, analyze issues that arise, make effective decisions, and work with other individuals.

The professors that teach the programs have the educational knowledge and real life work experience to help develop each student’s skills. Students will take 12 different business classes before graduation, each lasting seven weeks. Classes will focus on leadership, economics, finance and accounting, global business, and organizational development. Before completing their degree, students will work on an integrative project that will tie all previous course work together and demonstrate each student’s knowledge and understanding.

Tuition and Financial Aid

A base level online MBA from Medaille College currently costs $33,072 based on a 48 credit hour requirement. This price can vary if students take additional classes or are exempt from classes. In addition to their tuition, students can expect to pay $95 for books and materials for every credit hour that they enroll in. There is also a $50 graduation fee applied to students once they complete the program.

All tuition costs are due before a student starts a class. Students will receive a payment schedule once enrolled at the school. Medaille allows students to pay class by class or for three and five classes at a time. In addition to a payment plan, Medaille College participates in financial aid alternatives. Students are able to apply for grants, loans, and scholarships upon enrollment. Financial aid will be awarded based on need and merit. Working individuals can also seek tuition help through SAGE Employer Tuition Reimbursement.

School Resources

Medaille College offers technical assistance to students including software support, answers to general technology-related questions and getting connected to the university network. Online students will also be able to access Ebscohost Business Source Elite, Proquest, Lexis/Nexis, and Mergent.
