Introduction

Missouri Baptist University was founded in 1957 as a private, evangelical Christian college. At the time there was a need for an extension of Hannibal-Lagrange College and the new site would be at Tower Grove Baptist Church. After operating as an extension, the institution was chartered as a four-year college in 1964. In 2002, the college expanded and officially became a university.

At Missouri Baptist University the pursuit of academic excellence is the forefront of the institution, while maintaining a Biblically based Christian perspective. Missouri Baptist University believes in providing all their students a quality education. Their online MBA programs delivers a rigorous curriculum that will challenge students.

Classes at Missouri Baptist University begin online every eight weeks, allowing for students to begin their program whenever they are able. Once a student begins the program, there are nine core classes that they are expected to take. The classes will focus on preparing students for the basic levels of business. Classes are offered in: effective communication, Information technology, legal and ethical environments, economics, marketing, accounting, leadership, management, and business. While in the program, students can expect their classes to reflect issues that are current and relevant to today’s business world. After their nine core classes, students will move onto electives until the meet their 36 hour degree requirement. At the end of the program, students will participate in a capstone class that will combine the knowledge that they learned throughout the program.
