The Ottawa University online MBA program provides adult learners and organizations high quality professional preparation in business with an important emphasis on personal values and professional ethics. The program focuses on a global perspective on business, communication skills, and each student’s future career goals. At Ottawa, students will have the freedom to take classes when their fit their needs. Students can choose night classes or online courses. Students will be able to combine the two as well.

Students in the online MBA program will focus the bulk of their course work on 10 core fundamental classes. These classes will teach students about economics, finance, and accounting but also teach the basics in human resource planning, organizational behavior, and influences on business. Some of the classes require a prerequisite class. If students did not take business classes in their undergraduate career, they may be expected to take on additional classes. Following their core classes, students will chose two elective classes to complete the program.


The requirements for applying to Ottawa University’s online MBA program include:

  • Completion of the graduate school application
  • $75 application fee
  • Undergraduate transcripts
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • Three letters of recommendation of professional and academic history
  • Resume (preference is given to students with two years relevant employment or volunteer work)
  • Essay of 300-500 words describing professional development and expectations for graduate study
  • List of awards, honors, volunteer work, committees served on, community services, and all other activities
