The online MBA curriculum integrates content across functional areas—combining management, marketing, finance, and operations—through common content and through two residency experiences. The program is based on concepts found in the criteria for Performance Excellence of the Baldrige National Quality Program.
With an online education from Pennsylvania State University, students have the opportunity to put a recognized MBA on their resume. Students who successfully complete the program receive a diploma stating that they have earned a master of business administration degree, not an online MBA.
The admissions office at Penn State requires an online application, two recommendations (to be completed online), a resume, a statement of intent, transcripts and GMAT test scores (no older than 5 years), and a $65 application fee. The earliest application deadline is March 1, the regular deadline is June 1. PSU has a 52 percent admissions rate and a 31 percent enrollment rate. Starting with fall 2017, the program will have 3 intakes a year; fall, spring and summer.
