Established in 1952, St. Thomas Aquinas College is a coeducational, independent, liberal arts college with a total enrollment of 2,700. Offering over 97 majors, minors, and three Master’s degrees, St. Thomas first made a fully online version of their MBA program available during the fall of 2010. This Dominican tradition-based college gives students an education centered on values and enriched through the liberal arts focus.
The full-time and part-time faculty members are dedicated to preparing MBA students for corporate challenges of a competitive business market. They recognize the crucial importance of interactive learning through students being involved in case studies, group discussions, external projects, course exercises, and making each student a part of the learning experience.

is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and its online MBA is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
St. Thomas Aquinas College seeks to prepare students for the global business environment by educating them in methods of effective research, cooperative learning techniques, independent study, and internships. The curriculum seeks to guide graduating students toward higher level positions of management and leadership within business, government, and non-profit organizations. The online MBA program specifically addresses concepts such as business communication, marketing, management, and finances.
Students participating in the online MBA program can earn an MBA (with a general concentration) completely online. Split into four, nine-week sessions, the program provides students with the opportunity to sign up for sessions in September, December, March, and June. Although the program technically requires 57 credits, students may earn up to 24 course waiver credits from previous undergraduate or graduate credits and can complete the remaining 33 credits within one year on a full-time basis.
Because of the nine-week session format for the online MBA program, the Office of Admissions accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. Typically applicants are admitted under the following criterion:
- Have earned a four (4) year bachelor degree, or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution
- Have graduated with at least a 2.8 grade point average (4.0 scale)
- Submit copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcript(s) (must be official and sent directly from the institution to the admissions office)
- Submit the non-refundable $30 application fee
- Submit three letters of recommendation from references that can attest to the student’s character and, work ethic, and academic potential
- Submit GMAT scores (Use STAC Code #39Z-05-10) or a GMAT wavier request
Tuition and Financial Aid
St. Thomas Aquinas offers highly competitive rates for tuition costs associated with the online MBA programs. St. Thomas charges $760 per credit hour for the MBA program, but some students may receive a discounted rate. St. Thomas has partnered with several companies and professional organizations to bring students up to 15% off in discounts.
In addition to the discounted rates for eligible students, St. Thomas Aquinas College provides an extra 5% discount for alumni of the college. Other students can apply through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process for additional financial aid through Federal Grants, Scholarships, or Student Loans. Federal Aid is determined by the estimated family contribution (EFC) and scholarship eligibility is determined by the materials presented during the application process.
The online MBA program is structured around the Blackboard learning system, which is designed to support online degree programs and make the online classroom environment dynamically engaging, interactive, and individualized.
The central location for all resources related to online learning is on Registrar, where students can access the academic calendar, submit transcript requests, plan their schedule, view and download forms, review the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), contact the faculty and school, and access several user guides.
