Introduction

Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J., prides itself on its mission statement, which encourages the creative, entrepreneurial and philosophical growth of its students. Stevens offers a wide range of online graduate and training degree programs through its WebCampus system, established in 2000. Stevens has seen significant growth in its graduate enrollment in WebCampus in the last seven years. The Stevens Institute of Technology’s online MBA program carries on the institution’s mission by providing a science-based education to students of all disciplines, including business.

Accreditation

Since 1927, Stevens Institute of Technology has been accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has been accrediting degree-granting institutions in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Puerto Rico since 1919.

Academics

Stevens offers a specialized MBA in Technology Management (MBA-TM) online. This degree combines the principles, skills and values of leadership offered in all business programs with an emphasis in technology management. The MBA curriculum is made up of core courses, breadth courses and classes specific to a major of students’ choosing. Concentration majors include:

Student Life

Twelve percent of all Stevens courses are taught on the Internet. Students are given access to online libraries and extensive electronic databases. Members of the Association for Computing Machinery get a 10 percent discount off of online graduate tuition at Stevens.

Admissions

Stevens admits 47 percent of all applicants. For admission into the MBA program, applicants need to submit an application, undergraduate transcript, two recommendation letters and a $55 application fee. Prospective students are expected to take the GMAT exam with a minimum score of 500, or 550 for Financial Engineering concentration majors.

Tuition

The approximate cost of the MBA program is $76,800. Stevens offers federal Stafford loans, grants and work study to its MBA students. Federal loans must be applied for through FAFSA. Members of nationally recognized engineering organizations can attend school at a 10 percent discount.
