Introduction

University of Colorado-Denver’s Business School offers a highly interactive, flexible MBA program online. For more than 25 years, UCD’s Business School has produced graduates who have gone on to be business leaders in the region, the country and worldwide. UCD also partners up with industry professionals to create individualized areas of study for its students in energy; entrepreneurship; health; risk management and insurance; sports and entertainment management; and sustainability. UCD prides itself on its mission: to prepare students to succeed, to provide them with the knowledge they need to succeed and to help them build business relationships within the community.

Accreditation

University of Colorado-Denver’s Business School is accredited by AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) the premier accrediting organization of business schools worldwide. For nearly a century, AACSB has awarded accreditation to schools with strict standards, experienced faculty, current curricula and high achievement goals for graduates.

Academics

MBA program specializations include Finance, Enterprise Technology Management, Information Systems and Managing for Sustainability, a major that focuses on the role of business in community and environmental involvement. Forty-eight credit hours are required to earn the degree, with 30 hours for core courses, 15 for electives and three credit hours in international business.

Admission

For admittance to the online MBA program, applicants must submit a completed application online, personal essays, a resume, official postsecondary transcripts and GMAT scores from within the last five years. Letters of recommendation are optional but recommended. Applications are accepted for fall, spring and summer semesters.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition at UCD is dependent on in-state or out-of-state resident status. Average in-state graduate tuition is $14,578, while average out-of-state graduate tuition is $56,112. The Business School offers general merit-based and need-based scholarships as well as specialized scholarships in Accounting, Finance, Management and several other concentrations. Students must file a FAFSA to qualify for additional aid.
