The College of Business at the University of North Alabama is the fastest growing school featured at the university, currently serving more than 1,100 undergraduate and 600 graduate students. With an astute online MBA program, the College of Business at the University of North Alabama prepares students for an array of business careers around the nation and the world.
The University of North Alabama is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. With this accreditation, the university is allowed to administer bachelor’s, master’s, and education specialist’s degrees. The College of Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), which is one of the most prestigious business school accreditors in the U.S.
Along with their online MBA degree, students are able to choose from a myriad of MBA concentrations, including accounting, finance, health care management, information systems, international business, project management, enterprise resource planning systems using SAP, and professional concentrations. The university also provides the option of a Traditional MBA or MBA Executive Concentration as well, which helps meet the diverse, individual needs of MBA students.
MBA students can be admitted on unconditional or conditional status. Conditionally admitted students must reach conditional status admission by their fourth graduate semester. Below are the requirements for each type of admission:
- Hold another advanced or professional degree that is approved by the MBA Admissions Committee; or bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- GMAT score of 450 or higher. Acceptable (equivalent) GRE score may be substituted for GMAT with the approval of the MBA Admissions Committee
- 2.5 GPA on 4.0 scale
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- GMAT score of 400 or higher. Acceptable (equivalent) GRE score may be substituted for GMAT, with approval of MBA Admissions Committee
- 2.75 GPA on 4.0 scale
Conditionally admitted students who don’t achieve a 3.0 cumulative GPA during their graduate work will be immediately dismissed from the MBA program.
Tuition and Financial Aid
The tuition for the online MBA at the University of North Alabama is $12,410, paid over the course of each registration period during the MBA program. For students who demonstrate financial need, the university also offers a number of federal Title IV student aid programs, including the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Work Study, Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Pell Grant, and Federal Family Educational Loans. Students may apply for these programs through the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
