Introduction

Founded in 1886, the University of Wyoming opened its doors to 42 students and five faculty members. It is located between two mountain ranges in Laramie and now opens its doors to more than 13,000 students per year. The school was ranked by US News & World Report, Forbes, and the Princeton Review among the top colleges and universities in 2010.

Accreditation

The University of Wyoming is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The University of Wyoming’s School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Academics

The University of Wyoming offers an online executive MBA, in addition to a traditional offline MBA. The online executive MBA program at the University of Wyoming’s School of Business is 30 credit hours in length and lasts two years. The school has three, prescheduled semesters during the academic year. Prerequisite coursework and the GMAT may be waived based on the work experience of the student and at the discretion of the MBA director.

Admission

The requirements for applying to the University of Wyoming’s School of Business online Executive MBA program include:

  • Completion of the graduate school application
  • Resume
  • Official transcript from all institutions attended
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year undergraduate school or a previous graduate degree is required
  • A grade of “B” or better in any prerequisite course
  • Three professional letters of recommendations
  • GMAT score of 550 minimum (unless waived)
  • Three or more years of work experience

There are additional requirements for international students.

Tuition and Financial Aid

In the 2012-2013 academic year, proposed tuition is $600 per credit hour for all 30 core curriculum credits, plus an additional $40 technology fee per credit hour. The total tuition is $19,200.

The school waives the application fee for veteran or active military students.
