Valdosta State University is a member institution of the Georgia WebMBA, a program in which five Georgia institutions come together to offer students the chance to earn an MBA online. The business schools at all five member institutions are AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accredited. The WebMBA program consists of a required two-day orientation, 10 core courses and no electives. Students will take challenging courses including: Managerial Accounting, Global and International Business, Strategic Marketing, Productions and Operations Management and Managerial Finance. The WebMBA program concludes with a capstone project in business strategy. Students whose undergraduate degree was not in business may have to take additional prerequisite courses.
With an online education from Valdosta State University, students have the freedom to earn their degree on a flexible schedule. The program is beneficial to working professionals who need to balance school, their career and other responsibilities. With the exception of the program orientation, students complete all course work online.
Students who want to participate in Georgia’s WebMBA program through Valdosta must first be admitted to VSU’s graduate school. Students must submit an application packet that includes their GMAT scores, undergraduate GPA as shown on sealed transcripts, a professional resume and an essay questionnaire. Two years of professional business experience is preferred.
