The original Virginia College location was founded in 1983 and is located in Roanoke, Virginia. Shortly after its founding, it was purchased by Education Futures, Inc. and they began expanding the school to include locations in southeastern United States and online. Today, the school operates as a for-profit institution. They offer students courses, certificates, and degrees in fields pertaining to health and medical, information technology, business, office management, and criminal justice.
