Academics

Through the online MBA program at Walsh College, students will be able to anticipate and respond to global market needs and develop the skills needed to become leaders that will stand out in a competitive environment. Students are expected to know basics in finance, legal issues in management, economics, operations management, and statistics. If students cannot show that they have previous knowledge in these areas, then they may be required to take additional foundation classes so that all students begin the program with the same knowledge base.

Upon starting the online MBA program, students will start with nine core classes. These classes will build upon the business foundation the students already have. Along with financial business classes, students will learn about ethics, strategic management, human resources, and quantitative measures. After a student completes their core class requirement, they must take at least four additional classes. Most students use these courses to select a specialization. At Walsh College, students can choose to specialize in accounting, business information technology, economics, finance, health services administration, human resource management, information assurance, international business, marketing, project management, strategic management, and taxation.
