Academics

The West Chester University online MBA is the same both in structure and in required course work to the university’s traditional MBA program; the only difference is in how the courses are delivered. For the most part, courses are delivered asynchronously, meaning that students can log in to their online MBA courses at the time of day that works best for them, providing much-needed flexibility for working professionals. Some of the goals of the online MBA program are to produce professionals who are skilled in communication, teamwork, ethics, critical thinking, decision-making, and using effective business tools and processes.

Depending on the student’s undergraduate background, students may start out taking foundation-level or MBA-level graduate courses. Foundation-level courses include: Financial Reporting and Analysis, Legal Environment for Business, Marketing Management, Managerial Principles and Communication, Business and the Economic Environment, and Principles of Corporate Finance. The program’s 11 core courses include: Strategic Cost Management, Financial Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Business Information Systems, and more. Students also have their pick of elective courses in a variety of pertinent areas.

Applicants to West Chester University’s MBA program must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, and submit a completed application along with the following:
