WPI offers students the opportunity to earn their MBA either through independent online work, classroom studying or a blend of both. Classes include Financial Intelligence for Strategic Decision-Making, Economics for Managers, and Analyzing and Designing Operations to Create Value.
With an online education from WPI, students have the freedom to earn their degree on their own schedule. They may even choose to learn in the “Cohort MBA” program, where a team of students will take their classes together for 31 months with two classes per semester. This is achieved through a combination of on-campus and online instruction. However, a purely online learning format is also available for those who cannot make it to campus. The average annual salary for graduates of this program is $77,100.
Students will need to complete the online application as well as take the GMAT. Most WPI students’ GMAT scores fall in the 570 to 680 range. At least two years of work experience is preferred for applicants. The application deadline for U.S. students is typically July 1; for international ones it’s June 1. Of the approximately 275 full-time students who apply each year, about 210 are accepted.
