Why do you only focus on MBAs?

Focusing on one type of degree allows us to provide you with in-depth information on pursuing a master's in business administration. We believe it's important to offer prospective students a deep breadth of resources on online MBAs.

Is there a charge for any of the resources or services you provide?

No! Our content is free to use.

How does your site make money?

At OnlineMBA, we want to be transparent about how we benefit from visits to our site. We receive compensation when we successfully recommend a program that is a good fit for potential students. The schools that are part of this program are clearly marked as “Sponsored Schools” or “Featured Schools” across the site.

These sponsored schools provide us with their information to be used in their school profiles and descriptions, and these statements are not independently verified. The information gathered to create our rankings is pulled directly from individual schools, and is accurate at the time of calculation. This information may change, and we cannot guarantee their accuracy.

Can you clarify your relationship with HigherEducation.com?

OnlineMBA is affiliated with HigherEducation.com, a third-party marketing agency working on behalf of colleges and universities looking to connect students with their online degree programs.

What is a featured school? How can I feature my school?

OnlineMBA receives compensation from featured and sponsored schools when we successfully recommend a program that is a good fit for potential students. To discuss becoming a featured school, please contact us.

Where do you get your data?

OnlineMBA uses a unique two-prong approach to collecting data: Our tuition and curriculum data for each school were gathered from their websites in 2017. Program costs may change, so please contact the schools directly for the most up-to-date tuition information. Other school data, including graduation rates and financial aid rates, were sourced from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). This resource is maintained by the National Center for Education Statistics, and all data for IPEDS is reported by individual institutions during survey years.

How are your rankings calculated?

Schools are ranked based on student retention, financial aid availability, graduation rates, and more. We focus our rankings not on name recognition, but on the probability of student success.

Are for-profit or non-accredited colleges included in your rankings?

No. We only include accredited, nonprofit schools on our lists.

My school is on your ranking. How can we share this news?

Congratulations! You can download an official ranking seal from the list your school is featured in. Just head to the ranking page and click "Get Ranking Seal" to download the badge. You can feature this seal on your website wherever you see fit, including your homepage or accreditation page. All that we ask is that you please include a link to the original ranking somewhere alongside the badge. For an example, feel free to check out what California State University, San Bernardino did here.

Who writes your content?

Our content is written by a team of writers who research and fact-check their findings.

How often is your content updated?

We strive to keep the content of our website as up to date as possible. Rankings are refreshed annually and we regularly review our guides to ensure that they reflect the latest information and best practices.

Can I contribute to your site?

Yes! Our user base is what makes the site a success, and we are always looking for contributors from the business community. If you are interested, please contact us. Be sure to tell us a little about yourself, your MBA journey, and what you had in mind.
