This MBA program enables students to become experts in the organization and execution of a project. Students in an online Project Management MBA program will focus on defining, managing and seeing projects to fruition. This degree is not focused on management of the overall functions of a business, but rather on management of the individual projects that may take place within it. Programs will typically include course work in Project Procurement Management, Quality Management, Team Dynamics, Risk Management, and Planning and Control.

In most cases, applicants are expected to possess at least basic foundation knowledge of business. Those who did not receive their bachelor’s degree in business or another related field are often required to complete courses such as the following before beginning their MBA studies:

  • Business Law and Ethics

In addition, some schools require that applicants submit their GMAT scores even if there is no minimum for admission. Most schools will also require letters of recommendation and essays.
